Cmde Sudip Malik took over as the Naval Officer-in-Charge, Gujarat

Ahmedabad, June 23: Cmde Sudip Malik took over as the Naval Officer-in-Charge, Gujarat on June 21st.

He has taken over the charge from  Cmde Nitin Bishnoi. 

A ceremony to this effect was held at the  Ceremonial Divisions in Porbandar.

Commissioned in 1996, the officer is an alumnus of the prestigious National Defence Academy, Khadakvasla, Cmde Sudip Malik

is a specialist in Gunnery & Radar Technology and a graduate of  Naval War Colleges at Valparaiso, Chile and at Goa.

Before taking over as NOIC Gujarat, Cmde Sudip has commanded two front line frigates, IN Ships Beas and Gomati. To his credit, he has been the commissioning Commanding Officer of INS Cheriyam. His other command assignments include command of INS Nireekshak and appointment as NOIC Kerala.
