Guj Fin Min Unveils New State Tax Department Logo Designed by NID Ahmedabad

Gandhinagar, July 01: To mark GST Day, Gujarat Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai unveiled the newly designed official logo of the Gujarat State Tax Department at a formal ceremony in Gandhinagar. The new logo, designed by Dr. Tridha Gajjar, Senior Faculty at the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, reflects the evolving identity of the department.

Alongside the logo launch, the Minister also released the department’s Annual Report for the year 2024–25.

In his address, Finance Minister Desai lauded the department’s efforts to enhance governance, streamline tax policy, and boost state revenue. He emphasized the importance of building trust, ensuring ease of compliance, and leveraging technology to deliver better services to citizens.

Highlights of the New Logo:
The logo embodies key principles such as transparency, technology-driven reforms, and a ‘citizen-first’ approach. It symbolizes the department’s mission to build a robust, efficient, and taxpayer-friendly ecosystem in the era of digital governance.

Blue in the logo represents communication and transparency.

Golden symbolizes taxation and growth.

This modern and citizen-centric design reflects the Finance Department’s commitment to progressive governance.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by senior officials, including T. Natarajan (Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department), Rajiv Topno (Chief State Tax Commissioner), and Aarti Kanwar (Secretary, Finance Department), among others.
