National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad celebrates a proud moment as two of its alumni from the Film and Video Communication (FVC) discipline win top honours at the 71st National Film Awards.
Rishiraj Agarwal, a 2018 MDes FVC student, won the Best Documentary Award for his powerful graduation film “God, Vulture and Human”. The documentary, guided by Dr. Shilpa Das, is sponsored by IIM Ahmedabad and co-produced by IIM A professor Dr. Chandwani, whose research paper on organ donation inspired the film.
The documentary sheds light on the little-known role of transplant coordinators—the human bridges between life and death. Following the lives of four such coordinators, the film humanises their intense journeys and the ethical, emotional terrain they navigate.
