Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University observed Anti-Ragging Day 2025 with a series of interactive and awareness-driven activities at Swarrnim Institute of Technology (SIT). With an overwhelming participation of 50 students from SIT in addition to students from School of Mass Communications and Liberal Arts (SMCLA) and Swarrnim School of Computing and IT (SSCIT) the programme awared students of the dreadful effects of any small act of ragging.
Students marked the day with an essay writing competition on anti-ragging awareness, followed by an elocution competition. First-year B. Tech student, Ms Foram Pathak, eloquently talked about unity, empathy, and mutual respect among students during her address. Students also showcased their creativity in different competitive events such as poster making, logo making, and slogan making; and gave strong messages to deprive any act of ragging. Combining fun with learning, an engaging word search puzzle was also organised to round-off the event.
Faculty coordinators Dr Leena Patekar, Dr Urmila Meshiya, and Prof Monika Gajera applauded the students’ participation and creativity over the half day celebration of this event. The event concluded with recognition of the top entries. The University representatives reiterated the institution’s zero-tolerance policy towards ragging.
