At just 13, Vanshika Singh is already showing the world how to live a life with meaning. Her debut book, “Things I Scribbled Before Growing Up – An Almost-Adult’s Guide to Feeling Everything”, was unveiled in Ahmedabad by the Governor of Gujarat, Acharya Devvrat , at a glittering event hosted at DoubleTree by Hilton under ECA Global’s CSR initiative “Nanhe Sapne, Nai Udaan.”
A Teenager with a Purpose
While many youngsters today are caught up scrolling endlessly on reels, Vanshika has chosen a different path. She uses technology not as a distraction but as a platform — to write, to share, and to inspire. A Head Girl at her school, a Kathak learner, a fairly good student, and an active player in physical sports, Vanshika balances discipline with creativity.
“Writing was always my way of understanding the world,” she said at the launch. “This book is my attempt to tell every young person that it’s okay to feel deeply, to dream wildly, and to create fearlessly.”
Father-Daughter Moments That Shape a Young Mind:
Despite his busy schedule as a flourishing businessman, Vanshika Singh’s father, Rajesh Singh, makes it a point to spend an hour or more with her every day. During this time, they engage in open conversations on a wide range of topics, with her father patiently answering her questions and queries. Vanshika says, “This daily one-on-one time with my dad is incredibly valuable to me. I gain so much strength and clarity of thought, and I love that I can ask anything without ever feeling judged or snubbed.”

From Scribbles to a Published Voice
What began as private diary notes in childhood has matured into a soulful book of poems and reflections that touch upon innocence, curiosity, and the raw emotions of growing up. Vanshika herself said, “For me, poetry is not just about writing verses — it’s about capturing feelings before they fade. I want my words to remind every young person that emotions are not a weakness, they are our strength.” Her choice to channel her thoughts into meaningful expression makes her stand apart from her peers.
As one guest aptly remarked, “Good poets don’t just write verses — they give words to emotions we didn’t know how to express. Vanshika’s work carries that rare honesty.”
Governor’s Words of Encouragement
Unveiling the book, Governor Acharya Devvrat praised Vanshika’s courage and clarity at such a young age saying “Young voices like Vanshika represent the spirit of courage, creativity, and expression. Her book is not just poetry, but a mirror into the dreams and emotions of today’s youth,” he said.
He further emphasized the importance of Aahaar, Vihaar, and Vichaar — food, lifestyle, and thought process — in shaping young generations, adding: “Natural farming practices and wholesome nutrition directly influence a child’s health, growth, and imagination.”
Honoring Young Achievers
The evening also celebrated other young achievers in diverse fields, with the Governor felicitating them for their creativity and dedication.
“When we nurture young minds, we nurture the future of our society,” he remarked.
More than a Book Launch
As dignitaries, families, and well-wishers applauded Vanshika’s achievement, the event became more than a book launch — it turned into a celebration of youthful imagination, discipline, and the courage to be different. Vanshika’s journey stands as a reminder that age is no barrier when passion meets purpose.
“The best poetry does not just tell; it makes you feel what you never knew you could. It gives voice to the silent corners of the heart”
