The 13th Youth Festival of Gujarat Technological University (GTU) concluded successfully after being held from October 7 to 9, 2025, at the University’s Chandkheda campus. The three-day cultural celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from 900 students representing 59 colleges across the state.

The festival featured 26 creative competitions across three major categories — performing arts, fine arts, and literature, organized separately for degree and diploma students. The vibrant event showcased the talent, creativity, and cultural spirit of Gujarat’s young generation.

The valedictory ceremony was graced by eminent playwright Prof. Kamal Joshi as the chief guest. The ceremony began with the reading of a congratulatory message from GTU Vice-Chancellor Dr. Rajul Gajjar, who extended warm appreciation to the students and organizers for the successful execution of the event.

Delivering the welcome address, Registrar Dr. J. N. Kher emphasized the importance of healthy competition, saying that “winning or losing is secondary — participation itself fosters holistic growth and personality development.”

GTU’s Cultural Advisor, Manoj Shukla, remarked that taking part in such events creates lifelong memories for students. Chief Guest Prof. Kamal Joshi praised the performers, noting that “the divine energy of Lord Nataraja shines in every participant, and that spirit will stay with them throughout life.”

Around 200 winners were honored with trophies and medals, presented by distinguished guests. Shantilal Shah Engineering College emerged as the overall champion, while L.D. College of Engineering secured the runner-up position.

The festival’s success was made possible by the dedicated efforts of nearly 50 organizers and 55 volunteers, who worked tirelessly to ensure smooth management of all events. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by GTU Sports Officer, Dr. Akash Gohil.

The 13th GTU Youth Festival stood as a celebration of youthful energy, creativity, and camaraderie — reinforcing the university’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals beyond academics.
