“A Laddoo isn’t just a sweet — it’s a sphere of love, tradition, and togetherness that brings families closer during every festival.”
The air at ITC Narmada, a Luxury Collection hotel in Ahmedabad, was filled with laughter, sweetness, and the irresistible aroma of ghee as the hotel welcomed the season of lights with its annual Ladoo Mixing Ceremony — a delightful prelude to Diwali festivities.

Taking inspiration from the cherished tradition of making sweets at home with family, ITC Narmada reimagined this joy with a community twist, inviting nearly 100 patrons, guests, and culinary enthusiasts to roll up their sleeves and join hands in creating one of Gujarat’s most beloved festive treats — the Boondi Laddoo.

Under the gentle guidance of the hotel’s talented culinary team, participants came together to blend 100 kilograms of wholesome ingredients — golden besan, sugar, jaggery, and a rich medley of cashews, pistachios, raisins, and melon seeds — all infused with the fragrance of ITC Svasti Pure Ghee. The result was a treasure of over 3,000 delectable Laddoos, crafted and shared with warmth and joy.
“Festivals are about rekindling happiness and celebrating togetherness,” shared Akshay Kavra, General Manager, ITC Narmada. “Through our Ladoo Mixing Ceremony, we aim to revive the spirit of tradition while creating moments that guests will fondly remember — moments filled with sweetness, laughter, and the essence of Diwali.”
The celebration ended on a truly heartwarming note, with every participant — especially the little ones — carrying home their share of freshly made Laddoos, each one a symbol of love, sharing, and festive abundance.

At ITC Narmada, the festival of lights began not just with diyas and décor, but with togetherness, tradition, and the timeless joy of sweetness shared.
