02 Nov 2025: The Ladies Club of the Ahmedabad Medical Association (AMA) successfully organized a special Health and Empowerment Programme at AMA House, with the generous support of Shalby Multi-Speciality Hospital, Naroda. The initiative aimed to equip women with essential health awareness and vital life-saving skills.
The event featured two key sessions focused on cancer awareness and emergency response training. Dr. Pushpendra Hirpara delivered an insightful talk on cancer, sharing crucial information about the disease, dispelling common myths, and emphasizing preventive measures.
In the second session, Dr. Jaydeep Nagar conducted a practical and highly valuable training on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). The hands-on workshop empowered participants with the confidence and ability to perform CPR—an essential, life-saving technique in medical emergencies.
The programme was designed to inspire women, who often serve as primary caregivers, to prioritize their own well-being while being prepared to respond effectively during health crises. AMA President Dr. Shushila Kella, along with other office bearers and members, attended the event, marking it as a meaningful step toward women’s health awareness and empowerment.
