The National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad’s fourth-year Graphic Design students showcased their final display titled “22 Tabs Open” from November 4 to 5, 2025. The exhibition served as both a culmination and celebration of their four-year design journey — a creative archive of learning, experimentation, and transformation.

The display featured projects developed through core design principles and skills such as typography, colour, composition, interface design, motion graphics, and more. Rooted in a process-driven approach, the students’ work reflected cycles of ideation, prototyping, experimentation, failure, and rediscovery — mirroring the real-world design process.

Arranged like a designer’s digital workspace, 22 Tabs Open was divided into sections that represented different phases of the students’ creative evolution: ‘Pinned Tabs’ highlighted major projects, ‘Auto Save’ focused on foundational coursework, ‘Export’ presented final outcomes, ‘Rendering’ explored motion and interaction, ‘Plugins’ celebrated collaborations and real-world exposure, and ‘Offline’ captured moments of pause beyond the screen.

For visitors, the exhibition offered an intimate glimpse into design education as lived experience. For the graduating batch, it marked the transition from classroom learning to professional practice.

The showcase was presented by the Graphic Design 4th Year Batch — Aashrita Javvadi, Aischaryalaxmi Sahu, Apurva Rouduri, Aswin Sabu, Bhavya Sharma, Farha Abdulla, Gauri Bandewar, Harsh Ujjainkar, Ishana Majeed, Ishana Priya, Ishani Mahato, Katyayani Kusuma, Madhvan Anand, Maneul K Mathew, Navdha Sharma, Neya Prabu, Samidha Wadile, Sanyam Kumawat, Sushant Shinde, Tiya Wagh, Vaishnavi Das, and Yuti Duhan — under the guidance of faculty members Shilpi Munda, Jagadish Kumar, Xavier D’Silva, Dr. Tridha Gajjar, Tanishka Kachru, Gayatri Menon, Tarun Deep Girdher, and Shilpa Das.
