IIM Ahmedabad Concludes Summer Placements 2025-26; 410 Students Placed Across 165+ Recruiters

Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has successfully completed the Summer Placement process for its Post Graduate Programme (PGP) Class of 2027, recording 410 internships across three placement clusters conducted on October 28, October 31 and November 3.

This year saw a significant rise in participation, with over 165 companies offering 230+ roles, and more than 50 new recruiters joining the process. The institute reported a substantial growth in roles offered by long-standing recruiters, reinforcing their confidence in IIMA’s talent pool.

Consulting, BFSI Lead Hiring

The Consulting sector emerged as the largest recruiter with 166 offers (40%), followed by Banking and Financial Services (105 offers; 25%).
Top consulting recruiters included:

• Boston Consulting Group – 24 offers
• McKinsey & Company – 17 offers
• Bain & Company – 15 offers
• Kearney – 15 offers
• In Investment Banking & Markets, Goldman Sachs (11) and Standard Chartered (9) led the cohort, while the PE/VC domain saw participation from Blackstone, Gaja Capital, Ares, Growtheum, Lighthouse Canton, and others.

Cluster-wise Highlights

• Cluster 1 saw strong participation from consulting, PE/VC, and IB firms. Accenture Strategy (India Market Unit and Global Network) made 39 offers combined.
• Cluster 2 was led by FinIQ Consulting with 17 offers, followed by Mahindra & Mahindra and JioStar with 10 each. FMCG majors including P&G, Amazon, Flipkart, ITC, TAS, Hindustan Unilever and others also participated actively.
• Cluster 3 included technology, core manufacturing, and niche consulting roles. Tata Consultancy Services topped with 13 offers, followed by Adobe (5) and Microsoft (4).

Rise in Dream Applications

A key feature of IIMA’s cluster-cohort system, the Dream Application policy, saw a notable rise this year.
117 students submitted over 280 dream applications, with conversions increasing over 15% compared to last year, underscoring a push for better student–recruiter fit.
