Navyug Commerce College, managed by Navyug Vidyabhavan Trust and located on Rander Road, organized an orientation and induction programme for newly admitted students of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University (BAOU) Study Centres – 1835 and 0791823 – for the August 2025 academic session on Sunday.
The session, held under the leadership of Principal Dr. Vinod N. Patel, aimed at familiarizing students with key academic and administrative procedures of the University. Detailed guidance was provided on admission processes, assignment submission, examination guidelines, result processing, and other essential instructions, ensuring that students clearly understood the complete academic journey from enrollment to final results.
The programme commenced with a ceremonial lamp-lighting in the presence of dignitaries. Study Centre Co-ordinator Dr. Akshayraj Gohil welcomed the guests and introduced the purpose of the orientation. Principal Dr. Patel delivered an inspiring address, motivating students to approach their higher education journey with clarity and dedication.
The event was graced by Dr. Rajesh D. Rana, Executive Council Member of BAOU, Ahmedabad, and Ms. Ghiyaben Trivedi, Assistant Regional Director of the Surat Regional Centre. Both encouraged students to pursue academic excellence and make full use of the opportunities offered by open and distance learning.
A comprehensive explanation of BAOU’s academic procedures was presented by Co-ordinators Dr. Mehul Shah and Dr. Akshayraj Gohil, followed by a practical demonstration of navigating the University website and online services by Vishal Thakkar.
The orientation proved to be informative and motivating, equipping students with confidence and clarity as they embark on their academic journey with BAOU through Navyug Commerce College.
