CEPT University today hosted a high-impact Technical Day in conjunction with the Executive Committee Meeting of the International Energy Agency – Energy in Buildings and Communities (IEA-EBC), bringing global experts to its campus for deep discussions on the future of energy-efficient urban development.
The event featured seven intensive technical sessions, led by international subject-matter specialists, who shared the latest insights and research breakthroughs across key thematic areas. The sessions covered:
- Data-Driven Smart Buildings
- Sustainable Cooling in Cities
- Air Infiltration and Ventilation in Buildings
- Grid-Integrated Control of Buildings
- Heat Pump Systems in Buildings
And other emerging innovations shaping the building-energy landscape
The discussions highlighted the evolving role of technology and data in improving building performance, reducing environmental impact, and creating climate-resilient cities.
The IEA-EBC Programme—a leading international research and innovation platform spanning 26 member countries—is dedicated to advancing energy efficiency within buildings and communities. It enables collaborative R&D initiatives, promotes interdisciplinary knowledge exchange, and fosters strong technical networks among academics, researchers, and industry leaders.
By hosting this global gathering, CEPT University strengthened its position as a key facilitator for energy research and sustainable urban development. Participants emphasized that such collaborations not only produce high-quality technical outputs but also help build enduring professional networks that continue to benefit the sector long after individual projects conclude.
