Naman Dave, a rising boxing talent originally from Satellite, Ahmedabad and currently studying in Mumbai, has won the gold medal in the Mumbai University Boxing Tournament in the 86–92 kg weight category. His strong performance has earned him a place at the All-India National Championships, a major stepping stone for competitive boxers in the country.
Speaking about his win, Naman Dave said, “This medal means a lot to me. I’ve trained hard for this moment, and qualifying for the Nationals is a dream come true. I want to make my city and university proud.”

His coach praised his grit and discipline, saying, “Naman has shown exceptional commitment. His strength, speed, and ability to stay composed under pressure make him a strong contender for the Nationals.”
Family members back in Ahmedabad expressed their pride and excitement. “Naman has always been determined and focused. We are confident he will excel at the national stage,” they shared.
With this victory, Naman will now represent Mumbai University at the national level, where he is expected to be one of the promising athletes in his weight category.
