Indus University celebrated a significant milestone with the successful hosting of its 10th Convocation Ceremony at the Rancharda campus. The event marked a proud moment for students, faculty, and dignitaries as degrees and honours were formally conferred.
This year, the university awarded degrees to 1,248 undergraduate students, 327 postgraduate students, and 8 Ph.D. scholars, recognising their academic achievements. In addition, 18 outstanding students received Gold Medals, while 6 students were honoured with Memorial Awards for their exemplary performance.
The convocation commenced on December 5 at 6:00 PM with the traditional academic procession. B. S. Rao, Vice President (Digital & Strategy), Adani Group, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, and Ashok Mehta, Founder & Chairman, Suchi Industries, attended as the Guest of Honour.
As part of the convocation celebrations, the university will inaugurate the Indus Advanced Green Nanotechnology Institute (iAGNi) on December 6. The inauguration will be attended by eminent cardiologist and Padma Shri & Padma Bhushan awardee Dr Tejas Patel as the Chief Guest, along with Dr K. S. Nagesh from JSS Dental College, Mysuru, as the Guest of Honour.
Other distinguished attendees will include Dr Anantkumar Hegde, Chairman, Kadamba Society, and Dr Kattesh V. Katti, noted nanoscientist and cancer researcher from the University of Missouri. iAGNi aims to pioneer advanced research in green nanotechnology, contributing to innovations in cancer treatment and solutions for various diseases.
During the ceremony, the university presented its annual report, awarded honorary doctorates, distributed scholastic medals, and conferred degrees across multiple disciplines. The event was attended by key dignitaries including Dr Nagesh Bhandari (President Secretariat, Indus University), Dr Ritu Bhandari, Radhika Bhandari, as well as members of the Board of Management, Board of Governors, and distinguished personalities from varied fields.
The convocation was streamed live on the official Indus University YouTube channel, allowing families and well-wishers to join the celebration virtually.
