The four-year undergraduate programme offers specialisations in Animation & VFX and Game Development, aligned with global industry standards.
Established in 1927 by Gujarat Law Society, GLS University becomes the only institution in India authorised to deliver SAE Institute’s internationally recognised curriculum and certification. The collaboration also signifies SAE Institute’s official entry into India. SAE, part of Navitas Group’s Careers and Industry Division, has been a global leader in creative media and technology education for five decades, with 47 campuses across 20 countries.
The partnership was formalised at a signing ceremony held on Monday in Ahmedabad. The event was attended by Sudhir Nanavati, President of GLS University, and Dr. Chandni Kapadia, Executive Director, along with senior Navitas representatives, including Jenna Schiller, Head of Education Partnerships, and Steve Hird, General Manager – Marketing & Recruitment for South Asia.

Designed to produce industry-ready talent, the programme combines GLS University’s academic framework with SAE’s practice-led learning approach. The curriculum follows a project-based format and offers students access to advanced studios, tools and global workflows used by leading creative companies.
The course also includes opportunities for student exchange and international immersion. Graduates will receive a B.Design (Hons.) degree awarded by GLS University along with an SAE qualification, enhancing global career mobility and employability.
Speaking about the collaboration, Sudhir Nanavati said, “This partnership with SAE Institute marks a milestone for both GLS University and India’s education ecosystem. Our goal is to provide students with a world-class learning experience that equips them to lead in the global creative economy.”
Dr. Chandni Kapadia added, “This exclusive programme bridges a critical gap in India’s fast-growing creative sector. With global-level training in Animation & VFX and Game Development, we aim to empower Indian creators to compete and excel internationally.”
Jenna Schiller from Navitas stated, “We are excited to partner with GLS University for SAE’s entry into India. This initiative ensures aspiring Indian creators receive the highest standard of creative and technical training, connecting them to a global industry network.”
Students enrolled in the programme will also benefit from GLS University’s network of over 1,000 industry partnerships, offering internships, live projects and employment pathways. They will additionally become part of the global SAE alumni and professional community.
With this collaboration, GLS University reinforces its commitment to fostering innovation and sets a new benchmark for creative media and technology education in India.
