- Students Pay Tribute to Chhote Sahibzade
- Activities Promote Patriotism and Moral Values
Ahmedabad: CC Sheth College of Commerce, a constituent of the Navgujarat Group of Colleges, observed Veer Bal Diwas 2025 on December 26 and 27 at its campus, paying heartfelt tribute to the Chhote Sahibzade—the younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji—whose supreme sacrifice stands as a symbol of courage, faith and moral fortitude.
The observance aimed to sensitise students to the historical importance of Veer Bal Diwas and to instil the enduring values exemplified by the young martyrs. Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr D S Mistry said that the celebration proved to be a meaningful and inspiring experience, fostering patriotism, moral values and a sense of social responsibility among students.
To mark the occasion, the college organised a range of activities and competitive events, along with awareness sessions. These included a talk highlighting life lessons from the Chhote Sahibzade, a slogan-writing competition that offered students a creative platform to express reverence for the Bal Shaheeds, and knowledge-based games focusing on Sikh history and Indian culture.
The programme also featured a yoga session to promote physical and mental wellbeing, followed by a silent prayer attended by students and faculty in honour of the martyrs. A campus rally was organised as well, with students carrying placards and raising slogans emphasising unity, sacrifice and national pride.
