Psychological Thriller Paatki Brings a New Edge to Gujarati Cinema on January 30

Gujarati cinema continues its upward climb, and adding fresh momentum is the upcoming suspense thriller Paatki, slated for a worldwide theatrical release on January 30, 2026.
After receiving an enthusiastic response to its trailer, the film’s team including actors Hiten Tejwani, Shraddha Dangar, Gaurav Paswala, along with director Abhinay Deshmukh and producers Aalap Kikani and Chaula Doshi, addressed the media at a special press conference held in Ahmedabad.
Written and directed by Abhinay Deshmukh, Paatki is produced under the banner of AMP Studio Productions, in collaboration with Avirat Pictures, Kalaansh Creatives, Pam Studio, Kanak Pictures, and Vision Movie Makers. The film stars Shraddha Dangar and Gaurav Paswala in lead roles, supported by a strong ensemble cast featuring Ujjval Dave, Karan Joshi, Aakash Zala, veteran actress Sucheta Trivedi, and Hiten Tejwani.
The production team includes Divyesh Doshi, Aalap Kikani, Nrupal Patel, Anand Khamar, and Raju Raisinghani.
At the heart of Paatki lies a gripping question:
“A man is innocent until proven guilty but what if he is truly guilty and still proven innocent?”
The story follows Manav (Gaurav Paswala), a driven corporate professional living what appears to be a perfect life with his supportive wife Nitya (Shraddha Dangar). Their peaceful world collapses unexpectedly, pushing Manav into a spiral of guilt and confusion. Overwhelmed, he voluntarily confesses to the police, only to discover that all evidence contradicts his admission.
As Manav struggles with self-doubt and buried truths begin to surface, the film explores a powerful psychological terrain, suggesting that every individual carries both innocence and guilt within.
More than a conventional thriller, Paatki promises a mind-bending narrative that challenges perceptions and dives deep into the complexities of human consciousness.
Produced by AMP Studio Productions and distributed by Panorama Studios, Paatki will release across Gujarat and Mumbai, along with international screenings in the USA, UK, Canada, Dubai, and Australia on January 30.
