CEPT University Inaugurates New Multi-Purpose Studio Buildings

CEPT University inaugurated two new state-of-the-art studio buildings designed as flexible, multi-purpose learning environments on January 29, 2026. Conceived as pre-engineered buildings, the Studios are highly adaptable and can seamlessly support teaching-learning activities, semester-end exhibitions, studio reviews, lectures and public events.

The buildings were inaugurated by Prof. Barjor Mehta, President, CEPT University, in the presence of Punit Lalbhai, Member of the Governing Body, CEPT University; Dr Bimal Patel, member of the Board of Management and Building Committee; Naishadh Parikh, member of the Governing Body;  P. S. Patel, Chairman and Managing Director, PSP Projects Limited and Chirag Patel, Joint MD, M & B Phenix, faculty and staff members. The facility has been developed with generous contributions from the PSP Foundation, M&B Charitable Trust, and M&B Engineering Ltd.

Spread over 19,300 square feet, the facilities can accommodate up to 300 students. Sustainability and environmental comfort are integral to the design. The buildings feature high-placed windows for natural daylight, insulated reflective steel panels to minimise heat gain, HVLS fans combined with optimised air-conditioning to reduce energy consumption, and a solar installation to partially meet power requirements.

Alongside the building, there are other infrastructure also developed such as parking, road, cafeteria, multipurpose kund area and rainwater harvesting system. The rainwater of 2.58 acres area of the campus will be completely harvested in ground through 33 percolation wells. Kund area with a temporary storage capacity of approximately 6.0 Lakh litres of water is created which can be used as a multipurpose space other than rainy days.

The project was designed by the Architect Mr. Anand Patel of Anand Patel Architects in collaboration with CEPT Campus Architect Mr. Dilip Patel.
