Wedding Songs Festival Celebrated with Cultural Fervor by AMA Ladies Club

Ahmedabad witnessed a beautiful confluence of tradition, music, and friendship as the AMA Ladies Club organized a vibrant Wedding Songs Festival at the Ahmedabad Medical Association Hall. The event stood out as a heartfelt initiative to revive and preserve the rich cultural legacy passed down by earlier generations.

More than a musical program, the festival served as a tribute to traditional wedding customs that are gradually fading in today’s modern, DJ-dominated celebrations. The audience was treated to a soulful presentation of wedding songs spanning every ritual—from Vivah Khel and Kanya Vidai to Pastana. The traditional Phatana and the humorous exchanges between Vevai and Vevaan drew special appreciation, filling the hall with laughter and nostalgia.

The program was graced by chief guests and sponsors Dr. Nitin Sumant Shah of Nitin Charitable Trust and Rohitbhai Ishwarbhai Choksi of I.H. Jewellers. Club President Dr. Sushila Kella expressed gratitude to the donors, remarking that just as jewelry enhances a woman’s beauty, the support of these dignitaries added grace and strength to the program.

Special guests Dr. Mona Desai and Dr. Jignesh Shah were also present. The chief guests and donors were formally felicitated by the organization.

The success of the festival was credited to the dedicated efforts of the coordination committee members Pratimaben, Praveenaben, Jashanaben, Shobhanaben, and Jyoti Gandhi. The club’s Natkhat team members Divya and Vatsala infused life into the performances with their energy and expressions. Even in the absence of Secretary Anasuya Ladola, the team of Mayuriben, Anjuben, Darshanaben, and Taruben worked tirelessly under her guidance.

At the conclusion of the program, all participants were warmly applauded and presented with special gifts. The evening came to a joyful close with music, laughter, and dance—creating an atmosphere that truly felt like a celebration within one big family.
