CEPT Excellence Awards: University Awards Top Student Projects

CEPT University felicitated the winners of the CEPT Excellence Awards Monsoon 2025 today.

The CEPT Excellence Awards aim to acknowledge and celebrate the exceptional work produced by students in their studio units throughout the semester.

These winners are announced based on an assessment carried out by a distinguished jury panel appointed by the University. This year, the jury panel comprised Steven Smith, Director, Urban Narrative; Suranjana Satwalekar, Founder, Satwalekar Design Studio; Apurva Parikh, Director, Multimedia Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (MMCPL) and Niki Shah, Director of Urban Design, HCP Design, Planning and Management Pvt. Ltd., who meticulously selected the most outstanding projects. The exhibition features 9 student projects and five studio projects that have been recognized for their excellent work during the Monsoon Semester 2025.

From the selected student projects, the review panel selected Kosuri Ramanatham, from the Faculty of Design;  Aditya Shankarasubramanian and Akshita Malik from the Faculty of Architecture as winners of the CEPT Gujral Foundation Excellence Awards. The Gujral Foundation Awards recognize excellence in studio work produced during the Monsoon Semester ’25 and comes with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh for each winner.

Professor Barjor Mehta, President, CEPT University and Prof Tridip Suhrud, Provost, CEPT University, felicitated all winners and handed out the cash prize to the top three Gujral Foundation award winners in the presence of faculty members, staff and students.

The projects of all the Excellence Awards winners shall be exhibited for visitors from February 21 to March 22, 2025, at the Lilavati Lalbhai Library between 10 am and 8 pm.
