In a celebration of Gujarati literature and language, poet Yogini “Yukti” recently launched her second Gujarati poetry collection titled Manjari. The book was formally unveiled in the presence of distinguished literary and cultural personalities, including Padma Shri Dr. Kumarpal Desai, Gujarat Darpan (USA) editor Subhashbhai Shah, Saraswatichandra Acharya, and poet Krishna Dave.
Spanning 112 pages, Manjari is a pure Gujarati-language poetry collection that explores a wide range of themes — from nature and love to philosophy, social lifestyles, and human relationships. The poet is known for her strong commitment to preserving the richness of the Gujarati language, consciously choosing to write in pure Gujarati and celebrating its cultural depth through verse.
Yogini “Yukti” first gained recognition with her debut collection Shwas, which attracted readers for its emotional sensitivity and linguistic authenticity. With Manjari, she continues her literary journey, aiming to connect modern readers with traditional expression while addressing timeless human experiences.
The launch event highlighted the growing appreciation for regional literature and the importance of nurturing native languages in contemporary writing. Literary enthusiasts described Manjari as a meaningful addition to modern Gujarati poetry, reflecting both artistic elegance and cultural pride.
