Shri Bhagwat Vidyapith Announces Grand Purushottam Maas Manoraths and Spiritual Celebrations

 

A spiritually vibrant series of Manoraths and devotional celebrations will be organized during the auspicious Purushottam Maas at Shri Bhagwat Vidyapith from May 17 to June 15, 2026 at the main temple of Shri Kalpataru Prasad in Sola, Ahmedabad. The announcement was made during a press meet held within the temple premises today in the presence of Pujya Shri Bhagwat Rishi Shastriji, Managing Trustee; Shri Anantkrishna Shastri, Youth Director; Shri Shrinathbhai Modi, Chief Manager; and Shri Nikhilbhai Pandya Mukhyaji.

The institution also announced plans for the construction of a grand new hostel building aimed at providing modern and comfortable accommodation facilities for the Rishi Kumaras studying at the Vidyapith.

Speaking on the occasion, Pujya Shri Bhagwat Rishi Shastriji said,

“Purushottam Maas is considered extremely sacred in Sanatan Dharma. Lord Krishna himself has bestowed His divine name upon this extra month, making it spiritually powerful for bhakti, seva, satsang and self-purification. Through these Manoraths, devotees will experience various divine leelas and festivals connected with Shri Krishna and Vallabh tradition.”

He further informed that a special devotional evening has been organized on May 10, 2026 at 7:00 pm to mark the 24th Punyatithi of world-renowned P.H. Shri Krishnashankar Shastriji (P. Dadaji), the founder of Shri Bhagwat Vidyapith. The programme, organized by Shri Vallabhanidhi Trust and Shri Krishnanidhi Trust, will include worship rituals, prayers and a musical performance by the renowned Vikram Labdiya Group.

 

Major Purushottam Maas Manoraths & Celebrations

The month-long celebrations from Adhik Jeth Sud-1 to Adhik Jeth Vad-30 Amas will feature several devotional and cultural Manoraths including:

Institution’s Contribution to Sanskrit and Vedic Education

Addressing the media, Shri Anantkrishna Shastri, Youth Director, highlighted the educational and cultural contribution of the institution.

“More than 5,000 Brahmin students have studied Sanskrit, Vedas and Upanishads at Shri Bhagwat Vidyapith till date. Today, many alumni are serving society as kathakars, priests, astrologers, professors and educators in reputed schools and universities in India and abroad.”

He added that over 50 Rishi Kumaras from the institution are presently serving as priests in Hindu temples overseas. Besides traditional Vedic education, the Vidyapith also conducts yoga, karate and Sangh classes regularly, while Bharatanatyam classes are expected to commence soon. Diploma admissions at Shrivartantu Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya begin every year in August.

The forthcoming Purushottam Maas celebrations are expected to attract thousands of devotees, students and followers from across Gujarat and other parts of the country, making the temple premises a centre of devotion, culture and spiritual learning throughout the holy month.
