I have been on a quest to take up challenging and different roles, and Vishal gave me exactly that opportunity with Kajodu. What makes it even more special is working with ShemarooMe, a platform that is really pushing boundaries with original storytelling. It feels great to be part of a space that is not only experimenting with fresh formats but is also connecting deeply with Gujarati audiences, who are now actively exploring and embracing such diverse, modern content. Playing Bhavesh was mentally exhausting at times because of the emotional complexity the character carries but I am very happy with how the character has shaped up. As an actor, I wanted to challenge myself with something unpredictable, and Kajodu gave me exactly that space.”
Bringing warmth and intrigue to the story is Esha Kansara as Sonal, who shares, “I always try to experiment with my characters and looks. What drew me to Kajodu was its unique story and the title, which itself is so intriguing. I was genuinely excited when I heard the narration. In Kajodu, my character is layered and mysterious, something I have never played before. On the surface, she appears to be the perfect wife, yet there is a deep secret hidden beneath it all. It’s an honest, and deeply human dynamic between a mismatched couple that I believe audiences will truly connect with.
