Strengthening its commitment to industry-linked education and research, GSFC University signed six strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with leading industry, research, and government organisations during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) 2026. The agreements are aimed at enhancing academia-industry collaboration, innovation, research, and skill development.
The University entered into partnerships with Farmson Basic Drugs Pvt. Ltd., Indus Fire Safety, Alkem Laboratories Ltd., Vasu Research Centre, the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), Government of Gujarat, and the ICMR–National Institute of Occupational Health Research (ICMR-NIOHR). These collaborations will promote applied research, technology transfer, product innovation, professional training, and employment-oriented learning opportunities for students.
A key highlight of the initiative is the collaboration with ICMR-NIOHR, which will strengthen GSFC University’s B.Tech. Fire & Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) programme. Students will gain access to expert lectures, workshops, internships, dissertation opportunities, and field research under the guidance of ICMR scientists, providing hands-on exposure to occupational health and industrial safety challenges across sectors.
The MoUs will also reinforce the University’s start-up and incubation ecosystem by encouraging entrepreneurship, mentorship, innovation-led ventures, and access to government-supported entrepreneurial programmes. The partnerships are expected to create greater opportunities for experiential learning, industrial exposure, and collaborative research while supporting the University’s vision of developing industry-ready professionals.
The signing of these six strategic MoUs marks another milestone in GSFC University’s efforts to advance academic excellence, research leadership, and future-ready education through strong institutional partnerships.
