Ahmedabad Takes a Green Leap with 1 Lakh-Tree Plantation Drive

In a major push towards a greener and more sustainable Ahmedabad, Fingertips Data Intelligence Solution, in collaboration with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), has launched an ambitious drive to plant 100,000 trees across the city.
The initiative, titled ‘Unique Vriksharopan’, was launched at Happy Street, Law Garden, amid enthusiastic participation from citizens, environmental groups and prominent personalities.
A Green Gathering at Law Garden
The launch event was attended by Amit Shah, MLA of Ahmedabad’s Ellisbridge constituency, along with several distinguished guests. Popular Gujarat influencers, including SP India, Kushal Mistry, RJ Yuvraj and Vidhi Shah, also joined the campaign and lent their support to the green initiative.
Sunil Purohit, CEO and Founder of Fingertips Data Intelligence Solution, outlined the vision behind the campaign and called for greater public participation in environmental protection.
From Planting Trees to Building a Greener Mindset
The campaign goes beyond simply adding more trees to Ahmedabad’s landscape. Its broader objective is to create environmental awareness among citizens and promote sustainable, eco-friendly choices.
As part of this effort, eco-friendly biodegradable pens were also launched at the event, encouraging people to move towards products that reduce their environmental footprint.
‘Greener Ahmedabad Is Everyone’s Responsibility’
Addressing the gathering, Purohit stressed that creating a cleaner and greener city cannot be left to government agencies alone.
“Making Ahmedabad cleaner and greener is not solely the responsibility of the government or the corporation—it is a social duty for every citizen and organization.”
He added that the plantation drive reflects the organisation’s commitment to nature at a time when technology and digital lifestyles are rapidly transforming everyday life. The initiative, he said, could contribute to better air quality and a healthier and more sustainable environment for future generations.
Citizens Join Hands for the Green Cause
Representatives of various environmental and green initiative organisations, along with a large number of citizens, participated in the launch programme.
The campaign also aims to encourage residents to reduce plastic consumption and adopt eco-friendly alternatives, making environmental responsibility a part of everyday life.

With a target of 1 lakh trees, ‘Unique Vriksharopan’ puts the spotlight on collective action for Ahmedabad’s environmental future. The message from the launch was clear: a greener city is not created by planting trees alone, but by building a community that cares for and protects them.
The programme concluded with Sunil Purohit thanking the dignitaries, organisations and citizens for their participation and support in taking the green message to a wider audience.
