ISRO successfully launched EOS-05, India’s heaviest Earth-observation satellite so far, using the GSLV. It is designed for large-area imaging and applications including disaster monitoring, agriculture and forestry.

Heavy rain triggered an IMD red alert in Delhi, with severe waterlogging at IGI Airport and disruption to flight operations. Nine flights were diverted during one intense spell on September 4.
