‘Rafuchakkar’ Takes Off with Grand Muhurat in Ahmedabad; Shoot Begins September 16
Ketudada Entertainment’s new Gujarati comedy promises clean humour, family entertainment and a laughter-packed theatrical experience

The laughter is about to begin. Ketudada Entertainment has officially embarked on its latest Gujarati film venture, ‘Rafuchakkar’, with a grand muhurat ceremony held at Hotel Silver Cloud in Ahmedabad. The traditional ceremony brought together the film’s cast, crew and several well-known names from the Gujarati entertainment industry, marking the beginning of what the makers describe as a full-on family comedy.
From Muhurat to the First Clap
Following the auspicious rituals, the makers announced that the film’s first shooting schedule will commence on September 16 at the rural outskirts of Gandhinagar. The location is expected to provide an authentic backdrop to the film’s comic situations and characters.
Produced by Ketan Thakkar, Rafuchakkar is written and directed by Rakesh Shah, with Ravi Solanki as co-producer.
“We want ‘Rafuchakkar’ to be the kind of film where audiences can simply sit back, relax and laugh together. The story, humour and characters have been designed keeping the entire family in mind,” said the makers.
A Big Ensemble for a Comedy Ride
The film brings together a sizeable ensemble cast featuring Rishi Jani, Pooja Doshi, Hemang Shah, Archan Trivedi, Manin Trivedi, Nimita Vaghasiya, Gaurang JD, Hetal Barot, Naresh Prajapati, Kinnar Barot and Shrey Maradia in pivotal roles.
With a mix of experienced performers and popular Gujarati artistes, the makers are banking on situational comedy, clean humour and strong characterisation to drive the narrative.
“A Film for Every Generation”
Director Rakesh Shah said the intention is to create an entertaining theatrical experience that can be enjoyed across age groups.
“Gujarati audiences have a wonderful appetite for comedy, but the challenge is to create humour that remains clean, relatable and entertaining for everyone. With ‘Rafuchakkar’, our endeavour is to bring exactly that kind of laughter to the big screen,” Shah said.
Producer Ketan Thakkar added that the project represents an exciting new journey for Ketudada Entertainment.
“The muhurat is only the beginning. We are excited to take this story from the sets to theatres and hope ‘Rafuchakkar’ becomes a film that families remember for its laughter and entertainment,” Thakkar said.
Gandhinagar Awaits the First Shot
With the ceremonial beginning now complete, the team is gearing up for the first schedule on September 16. The rural outskirts of Gandhinagar will become the first filming ground for Rafuchakkar as the makers prepare to turn their comic script into a full-fledged theatrical entertainer.
