1. India–China military talks continue at LAC
India and China held the latest Corps Commander-level discussions at Chushul-Moldo in eastern Ladakh. The two sides have now completed 23 rounds of talks aimed at resolving issues related to the military standoff.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin are scheduled to meet on Friday ahead of the BRICS summit. The Kremlin said discussions will cover international issues and bilateral cooperation.
3. ED searches Karnataka minister’s premises
The Enforcement Directorate searched around 18 premises linked to Karnataka PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholi, his daughter and Chikkodi MP Priyanka Jarkiholi as part of an ongoing investigation.
4. Supreme Court questions treatment of student protest case
The Supreme Court expressed strong concern over a notice issued to a Gautam Buddha University student in connection with a protest. The court questioned the manner in which the executive magistrate had acted.
5. Centre to challenge relief granted to DU student under NSA
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said the Centre will challenge the Allahabad High Court’s decision to quash National Security Act charges against Delhi University graduate Aakriti Chaudhary, whose detention the High Court had declared unlawful.
