CEPT University Welcomes 290 New Students to Monsoon Semester 2025

Ahmedabad, August 21, 2025: CEPT University has commenced its Monsoon Semester 2025 with the induction of 290 new undergraduate students across its flagship five-year programs in Architecture, Urban Design, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, and Design.
This year’s cohort continues CEPT’s emphasis on diversity, with students from 19 states and union territories and women constituting over 60% of the intake.
Addressing the newcomers, Prof. Barjor Mehta, President of CEPT University, highlighted the institution’s legacy of innovation and urged students to uphold respect as a cornerstone of learning: “Respect for peers, teachers, and every member of the campus sustains a community where ideas grow, friendships flourish, and creativity thrives.”
The orientation program was led by Prof. Samir Shah, Dean of the CEPT Foundation Program (CFP), along with program chairs and faculty. The CFP, central to the first-year experience, is designed to nurture collaboration, interdisciplinary learning, and critical thinking while equipping students with core skills in drawing, model-making, data analysis, and representation.
The semester will culminate in a field visit where students will showcase their creative interpretations, reflecting CEPT’s unique pedagogy. Exploring CEPT’s studios, libraries, and courtyards, the new batch has embarked on a transformative academic journey that promises innovation, collaboration, and discovery.
