On the occasion of World Diabetes Day 2025, Corona Remedies Limited, a renowned and trusted Indian pharmaceutical company headquartered in Ahmedabad, achieved a historic milestone by setting a New World Record for “Most People Screened for Diabetes in a Single Day.”
The record was accomplished through the nationwide health initiative PANDA STUDY (Pan-India Assessment for Diabetes Awareness), led by Team AURA PMT of Corona Remedies Limited. The initiative focused on mass awareness, early detection, and preventive care for diabetes through free blood sugar screening camps across the country.
As part of this remarkable effort, 434 doctors across 233 locations in India collectively screened 7,086 people in a single day on 14 November 2025. The achievement has been officially verified and recognized by World Records India, setting a new benchmark for large-scale public health screening initiatives.
The World Record celebration was held in the presence of Nirav K. Mehta, Managing Director & CEO of Corona Remedies Limited; Dr. Kirtikumar Mehta, Chairman; and Paavan Solanki, Editor & Chief of World Records India, who shared details about the achievement.
Speaking on the occasion, Mehta said, “This world record is not just a number, but a reflection of our deep commitment to preventive healthcare and community well-being. Through the PANDA Study, our objective is to raise nationwide awareness about diabetes and encourage early diagnosis, which plays a critical role in improving long-term health outcomes.”
He further congratulated Team AURA PMT, participating doctors, and all stakeholders for making the initiative a success.
The initiative was supported by key team members including Dr. Vijay Charlu, Cecil Christian, Bhaveshkumar Shukla, Tushar Toohy, Dhwaniben Arvindbhai Patel, and M. Sadanand, whose coordinated efforts ensured the smooth execution of the nationwide drive.
