GTU–IIIT Vadodara Organize 5-Day Karyashala with Support of ANRF

Gujarat Technological University (GTU), in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Information Technology Vadodara (IIITV) and supported by the Partnerships for Accelerated Innovation and Research (PAIR) program under the Anushandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), successfully organized a five-day Karyashala on “AI/ML-Enabled Remote Sensing and Drone Technologies for Climate Resilience” from 2nd to 6th February 2026 at the GTU Chandkheda campus.

The workshop provided both conceptual understanding and hands-on exposure to advanced geospatial technologies, including hyperspectral remote sensing, LiDAR-based drone surveys, machine learning applications, and GIS-based decision-making systems.

The inaugural session was graced by Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Director of IIIT Vadodara, and Dr. Rajul Gajjar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of GTU. They emphasized interdisciplinary learning, emerging technologies, and alignment with the national vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat.

A total of 84 participants from various institutes across Gujarat attended the Karyashala. The program concluded with assessments, certificate distribution, and positive feedback from participants.
