Ahmedabad, February 26, 2026: In a moving celebration filled with pride, gratitude, and hope, Ahmedabad-based Tara Foundation marked World Cochlear Implant Day by honoring 45 extraordinary children who have triumphantly stepped into the world of sound. The heartfelt graduation ceremony, held at House of Marigold, was not merely an event—it was a celebration of courage, perseverance, and the limitless possibilities that unfold when compassion meets medical innovation.
Surrounded by proud parents, dedicated therapists, and well-wishers, the young graduates received certificates that symbolized far more than academic readiness. Each certificate represented years of patience, therapy, resilience, and the unwavering belief that every child deserves to hear, speak, learn, and dream without barriers.
Two Women, One Shared Vision of Hope

The celebration was made even more meaningful by the inspiring presence of Shilpa Choksi and Dr. Neeraj Suri, two women whose dedication to service reflects compassion in action. Choksi, as the gracious host at House of Marigold, created a nurturing and celebratory space where every child felt valued and honored. Dr. Neeraj Suri, with her expertise and commitment in the field of cochlear implants, represents the healing power of modern medicine guided by empathy. Together, they embody a shared vision—where community support and medical excellence come together to open doors of opportunity, confidence, and sound for every child.
The ceremony was graced by Shilpa Choksi, owner of House of Marigold, and Dr. Neeraj Suri, Director of Evara Hospital and a distinguished ENT and Cochlear Implant Surgeon, whose work has transformed countless lives. Both guests personally congratulated the children and their families, acknowledging the determination it takes to navigate the journey from silence to sound. Their words reflected a powerful truth: when science, dedication, and empathy come together, miracles become milestones.
These 45 graduates are now ready to enter mainstream schools alongside their peers—an achievement that stands as a shining testament to a decade of tireless commitment by Tara Foundation. What began in 2016 in a single modest room has grown into a sanctuary of hope for more than 1,000 children. Through speech therapy, occupational therapy, behavior therapy, music therapy, and audiology services, the foundation nurtures each child’s potential with care tailored to their unique needs.
Every year, 35 to 40 children complete their journey at the foundation and confidently transition into mainstream education. Behind each success story lies countless hours of therapy, encouragement during moments of doubt, and the steadfast support of families who never gave up.

At the core of Tara Foundation’s mission is a simple yet powerful belief: no child should be denied the gift of sound. By combining advanced cochlear implant technology with holistic learning approaches, including Montessori-based methods and sensory-rich environments like therapeutic gardens, the foundation ensures children grow not only academically but emotionally and socially as well.
The 45 children honored today embody what is possible when early diagnosis, timely intervention, and compassionate guidance align. Hearing impairment is no longer an insurmountable obstacle. With newborn screening, modern surgical care, and sustained rehabilitation, children can aspire to fulfilling careers and vibrant lives—just like any other child.
The celebration sparkled with joy as the children took to the stage with song and dance, their confident performances bringing radiant smiles and proud tears to the eyes of their loving parents who had gathered to witness this deeply meaningful milestone. Every step, every note, was a triumph—proof of how far they have come and how brightly they can shine. Special appreciation goes to Devika Bariya, a devoted teacher at the Foundation, who was instrumental in preparing the children for their performance; dancing right in front of them, she gently guided their movements with patience and encouragement, inspiring confidence through her own energy and warmth. These specially abled children stood as a living testament to hope and progress—where science, dedication, and unwavering belief come together to create extraordinary possibilities.
As the ceremony concluded and heartfelt applause rose around the gathering, it was clear that this was far more than a formal milestone—it was a celebration of resilience, transformation, and new beginnings. Each child honored that day represented a journey shaped by courage, unwavering family support, and the powerful blend of science and compassion. The pride shining on the faces of parents and mentors reflected dreams realized and futures reimagined. With steadfast dedication, Tara Foundation continues to nurture not just the gift of sound, but the confidence, independence, and hope that empower every child to step forward and create a life filled with opportunity and purpose.
