Marking three decades of shaping careers in the media and entertainment industry, Arena Animation, a leading training brand of Aptech Limited, hosted a grand Alumni Meet in Ahmedabad, bringing together accomplished professionals, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and aspiring creators from the rapidly growing AVGC-XR (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics and Extended Reality) ecosystem.

Held at Fairfield by Marriott on Ashram Road, the event attracted more than 80 alumni and industry partners, creating a dynamic platform for networking, knowledge-sharing, and celebrating the remarkable achievements of Arena Animation graduates who are contributing to India’s thriving creative economy.

The gathering showcased the inspiring journeys of Arena alumni who have gone on to establish successful ventures and hold leadership positions across animation, design, technology, media, and communication sectors. Among the notable attendees were Avesh Bhas, CEO of Artosouls; Amit Mehta, Founder of Imagine Communications; Deep Ardashana, Design Head at Inextrix Technologies; and Mihir Bhavsar, Business Head at Bonacci.

The Ahmedabad event marks the beginning of Arena Animation’s nationwide alumni engagement initiative, which aims to strengthen industry connections, recognize alumni achievements, and foster collaboration across its vast creative community spread across India.

As part of its 30-year celebrations, Arena Animation also unveiled Arena Originals, a new intellectual property (IP) creation initiative designed to encourage students and alumni to conceptualize, develop, and showcase original content. The platform seeks to nurture homegrown storytelling and creative innovation while leveraging emerging technologies such as virtual production and advanced digital content creation.

The initiative was launched by  Shourya K. Chakravarty, Chief Human Resources Officer, Aptech Limited, and  Shajan Samuel, Senior Vice President & National Sales Head, Arena Animation.

Speaking on the occasion,  Shajan Samuel said, “It is inspiring to see our alumni from Ahmedabad and Gujarat successfully building ventures, leading creative enterprises, and making meaningful contributions across leading studios and creative organisations. As Arena Animation marks 30 years, this milestone reflects not only our legacy but also the strong industry network we have cultivated over time. The Ahmedabad Alumni Meet celebrates these achievements while reinforcing our commitment to nurturing talent, strengthening alumni connections, and fostering a collaborative ecosystem that inspires the next generation of creative professionals.”

The event also featured engaging discussions on emerging technologies, evolving career opportunities, and the future of the AVGC-XR industry. Alumni shared their professional experiences and industry insights, providing valuable guidance to students and young professionals looking to build careers in the creative sector.

With Ahmedabad emerging as a significant hub for design, digital creativity, and storytelling, the alumni meet further underscored Arena Animation’s role in nurturing skilled professionals who continue to make their mark across national and global creative industries.
