Seventh Day School, Ahmedabad, celebrated the 12th International Yoga Day with enthusiasm and active participation in collaboration with Bhartiya Yog Sansthan.
The event was held on the school grounds during the early morning hours, where around 150 students from Classes 6 and 9, along with NCC boys and girls, took part in a special yoga session.

Guided by trainers from Bhartiya Yog Sansthan, participants performed the Common Yoga Protocol, which included warm-up exercises, Tadasana, Bhujangasana, breathing techniques, and meditation. The celebration was aligned with this year’s International Yoga Day theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”

Addressing the students, Principal Fileep Tayade highlighted the significance of yoga in everyday life and its numerous health benefits. He described yoga as India’s ancient gift to the world and emphasized that it is more than just physical exercise, promoting discipline, concentration, mental well-being, and immunity.
He encouraged students to adopt yoga as a daily practice, stating that even a few minutes of regular yoga can contribute significantly to maintaining a healthy body and mind.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks. Teachers, NCC officers, and staff members were present throughout the session, encouraging and motivating students to actively participate in the activities.
