When the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2026 was unexpectedly rescheduled, it brought with it an extended period of uncertainty that tested the emotional endurance of nearly 20 lakh aspirants across the country.
Students had to sustain months of rigorous preparation beyond their original schedule, while faculty members were compelled to constantly recalibrate revision plans, mentoring sessions and mock examinations to keep morale high.
Not budging or making it an excuse Allen Career Institute, Ahmedabad decided to rise above this situation. Tests were conducted and every student was personally attended and a free flow of communication was flown. This seemingly did not push the students into any sort of depression or any rethinking of refusing to write the NEET exam again. Result was that Allen created a history and its four students found their place in the top 100 students, which included three in the Top 50.
Clad in ALLEN’s signature bright green T-shirts and adorned with floral garlands, the young achievers stood as a picture of confidence and quiet accomplishment, their smiles reflecting months of perseverance and hard-earned success.

The centre’s star performer, Shaurya, secured All India Rank (AIR) 26 with 700 marks out of 720, while Akshit, also scoring 700 marks, secured AIR 30. Hiya emerged as the Gujarat Girls’ Topper with AIR 43, followed by Premal (AIR 93) and Dhyan (AIR 101), narrowly missing a place among the national Top 100.

The numbers reflect a steadily rising trajectory. The Ahmedabad centre increased its tally from two to three students in the Top 50, three to four in the Top 100, and eight to ten in the Top 500, while maintaining a strong presence across the Top 1000, Top 2000 and Top 5000 categories.
For Pankaj Baldi, Centre Head of ALLEN Ahmedabad, however, the significance of the results extends far beyond rankings.
“The postponement of the examination was an unexpected challenge for everyone. It demanded extraordinary patience from students, parents and teachers alike. What makes us proud is not merely the ranks but the character our students displayed. They remained disciplined, trusted the academic process, stayed focused despite the uncertainty and converted a difficult situation into an opportunity.
Every achiever—from our Top-30 rankers to every successful student—has demonstrated that sustained effort, scientific preparation and resilience ultimately deliver results. These accomplishments belong equally to our students, their parents whose unwavering support kept them motivated, and our dedicated faculty who stood with them throughout the journey,” Baldi said.
Responding to questions on Ahmedabad’s emergence as an increasingly important destination for medical entrance coaching, Baldi said the city’s academic ecosystem has matured rapidly through experienced faculty, technology-driven assessment, personalised mentoring and continuous performance analysis. Rather than relying solely on classroom teaching, the institute has focused on creating an environment where students receive academic guidance as well as emotional support throughout their preparation.
For the toppers themselves, the prolonged examination cycle became as much a test of mental strength as of academic ability.
Reflecting on his journey to AIR 26, Shaurya said the biggest lesson was to remain disciplined when uncertainty could easily have become a distraction.
“Securing AIR 26 is the fulfilment of a dream that was built day after day through discipline rather than shortcuts. During the extended preparation period, there were moments of fatigue and self-doubt, but giving up was never an option. My teachers constantly reminded me to trust the process, while my parents became my biggest source of strength and motivation. Despite studying for long hours every day, I made it a point to stay physically active through regular walks and light exercise because a healthy mind needs a healthy body. Looking back, I believe consistency, self-motivation and complete family support made the biggest difference,” he said.
Hiya, who secured AIR 43 and emerged as the Gujarat Girls’ Topper, described her achievement as the fulfilment of a family dream. Both her parents—Dr. Halak Vasavada and Dr Jasmin Vasavada are practising doctors, and she now looks forward to becoming the third doctor in the family.
“Becoming the Gujarat Girls’ Topper is a deeply emotional moment for me. Both my parents, have dedicated their lives to the medical profession, and I am proud that I will now join them to make it a family of three doctors. Watching them serve patients inspired my own dream of becoming a doctor. Preparing for NEET demanded marathon study sessions almost every day, but I realised that maintaining physical fitness was equally important. I ensured I found time for regular physical activity to remain mentally fresh and focused. Throughout the journey, the unwavering encouragement of my parents, the guidance of my teachers and my own determination to never lose confidence helped me stay on course,” she said.
Other toppers at the centre echoed similar sentiments, saying the prolonged preparation period taught them patience and resilience. Instead of constantly searching for new study material, they concentrated on revising concepts thoroughly, analysing mock-test performances, correcting mistakes and maintaining confidence. Jainil Shah and other meritorious students of Allen were proud to be the stars of the day and ready to march ahead for medical studies.
Many also emphasised the importance of balancing marathon study schedules with regular physical activity, whether through walking, stretching, yoga or light exercise, to remain mentally alert and manage stress.
Faculty members noted that the institute’s predictive testing models and detailed performance analytics helped students adapt to evolving examination trends. Every mock test was treated as a diagnostic exercise, enabling mentors to identify conceptual gaps, personalise revision strategies and provide timely academic as well as psychological support.
At the national level too, ALLEN Career Institute reaffirmed its dominance, producing 46 students in the All India Top 100, including 23 in the Top 50 and 10 in the Top 20. Of the 138 candidates nationwide who scored 690 marks and above, 63 belonged to ALLEN, underscoring the institute’s continued leadership in medical entrance coaching.
For ALLEN Ahmedabad, however, the defining takeaway from NEET-UG 2026 is not merely the number of top ranks but the resilience that produced them. In a year when uncertainty threatened to derail months of preparation, students, parents and teachers together demonstrated that discipline, self-belief, physical well-being and unwavering family support can turn an unwelcome challenge into an extraordinary achievement.
“Dreams don’t become reality overnight. They are built through thousands of ordinary days when you choose to stay focused even when no one is watching. If you remain consistent, trust your preparation and never give up after setbacks, success eventually finds you.”
