MICA, Ahmedabad, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kolkata-based Bhawanipur Education Society College to strengthen academic collaboration and create new opportunities for student development, research and faculty engagement.

The MoU was signed on October 29, 2026, by Prof. Dilip Shah, Rector and Dean of Students at Bhawanipur Education Society College, and Prof. Piyush Sinha, representing MICA.

The three-year partnership will provide a framework for student exchange programmes, internship opportunities, faculty and staff exchanges, joint research projects, conferences, curriculum development and academic resource sharing. It will also encourage seminars, workshops and community outreach initiatives.

The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practices while promoting interdisciplinary education, innovation, creativity and responsible leadership.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Piyush Sinha, Dean, MICA, said the partnership would bring together the academic strengths of both institutions and help students develop skills in creative thinking, effective communication, problem-solving and interdisciplinary collaboration.

He added that the association would further MICA’s diversity legacy by providing opportunities for more students from eastern and northeastern India.

Prof. Dilip Shah said the partnership would extend learning opportunities beyond the classroom by opening avenues for academic exchange, research, industry engagement and experiential learning. He expressed confidence that the collaboration would enrich the educational experience of students and faculty while encouraging innovation and a broader national perspective.

The MoU will remain in effect for an initial period of three years, providing a foundation for mutually agreed academic initiatives between the two institutions.
