Ahmedabad, Jan 24: Girl child was celebrated, spoken and applauded for all her achievements, rise and standing tall despite discrimination and prejudice in different sectors of work and living. On the occasion of ‘National Girl Child Day’ slated
every year on January 24, the Public Relations Council of India- Ahmedabad chapter today organized a meaningful discussion and felicitation ceremony at Ahmedabad Management Association.
The event which was named as “BALIKA BINDU” which saw 12 eminent Socialite speakers deliberating on Education, Malnutrition Healthcare, Safety and Equality rights of a Girl Child. 5 NGOs were honoured for their continuous contributions in the field of Development of Girl Child.
The key highlight of the event was to acknowledge the credentials of five (5) meritorious and go getter girls who were gifted with ladies cycles as part of PNB’s CSR contribution. Many esteemed supporters of the program were thanked by Vinod Dave, Dr Shashikant Bhagat and Subhojit Sen of PRCI – Ahmedabad Chapter. Krishan Kumar, Deputy Zonal Manager (DGM), Ahmedabad zone of Punjab National Bank was the special guest on the occasion and he distributed the cycles to the deserving girls and wished them luck for their future endeavors.
Ruzan Khambatta, Vaishali Parekh, Sapna Vyas, RJ Megha, Sweety Gosar, Hemani Gamara, Uma Raman, Mayank Chunchaa, Jayant Arrawatia, Advocate Yagnesh Pandit, Dr Sameer Babaria and Daxesh Raaval (P.D.Man) were the key speakers on the occasion . NGOs like Visamo Kids Foundation, Saath Charitable Trust , Andh Kanya Prakash Gruh, Prabhu Shri Shyam Charan Dasa of Akshay Patra Foundation & Manav Seva Trust were felicitated. Five girls Dhyana Dave, Nidhi Barot, Kajal, Ulupi and Shivani Rajput were presented with certificates and cycles on this occasion.
