More than 150 Hernia Surgeons to attend ‘ASA HerniaCon 2023’ in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, March 4: More than 150 Hernia Surgeons from across the Country are assembling to attend a two days’ important conference in Ahmedabad.
The occasion is ‘ASA HerniaCon 2023‘Â which is being held on March 4 and 5 at Hotel Courtyard Mariott, Satellite, Ahmedabad. The deliberations would revolve around various Surgical Procedures for Hernias.
Dr Sunil D Popat, Medical Director, Nidhi Hospital and Organising Chairman, while responding to questions suggested that “there are variety of Hernias such as Inguinal, femoral, Umbilical, Epigastric and Ventral Hernias. Hernias can occur in Men or Women and sometimes in Children. Hernia has no Medical Treatment.”
“Hernia has to be Surgically repaired. Since last three decades Hernia Surgeries are done Laparoscopically. During this conference, attending Surgeons will be exposed to the latest Surgical Procedures available for various Hernias. More than 20 National and several International Faculties are participating in the conference. Dr Chirag Desai, President of Ahmedabad Surgeons Association suggested that Laparoscopic Hernia Repairs give excellent results with less pain and better cosmesis” added Dr Popat.
Ahmedabad has advanced very well in the field of Laparoscopic Surgery over last three decades. This conference will provide the opportunity for Surgeons in this field to master the art of Laparoscopic Hernia Surgeries and eventually benefit the patients at large.
