In celebration of 75 years of independence, Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Ministry of Culture has partnered with The Art of Living to educate and empower Indians with the transformative tool of meditation.  The project was launched on 26th October 2022 at the international headquarters of the Art of Living at Bangalore by global humanitarian and spiritual master Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in presence of former Chief Minister of Karnataka Sh. Basavaraj Bommai amidst a gathering of 20 thousand people.
The Har Ghar Dhyan initiative has garnered an overwhelming response nationwide since then. Over a million participants have attended onsite programs in recent months.
Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar says “Meditation helps to change your perspective. It improves the way you perceive things. It improves your interaction with people around you –what you say, how you react and act in different situations; you become more aware.”
Meditation has been proven to boost immunity, enhance overall health, alleviate stress, anxiety, and depression, while equipping individuals with the ability to manage their minds and increase stamina.
