Shri Sankatmochan Mahavir Mandir will grandly inaugurate its third Ram Roti Seva Rath on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 6:45 pm. The inauguration marks another significant step in the temple’s ongoing mission of service and devotion.
The temple already operates two Ram Roti Seva Raths, which distribute meals daily in the morning and evening to the needy across various parts of Ahmedabad. With the addition of the third Rath, the outreach of this humanitarian initiative will expand further.
The temple holds special religious significance, being India’s fourth unique temple where Hanuman is worshipped in a reclining posture. A rare and spiritually moving idol from Patal Lok offers simultaneous darshan of Hanumanji, his son Makardhwaj, Ahiravan, Shri Ram, and Lakshmanji, drawing devotees from far and wide every day.

Established by the infinite blessings of Neeb Karori Maharaj, the temple regularly organizes religious festivals and social service activities. Every morning, nearly 300 school students collectively recite the Hanuman Chalisa, followed by the distribution of sweets and chocolates to children.
In addition to continuous meal service through the Ram Roti Seva Rath, the temple frequently conducts blanket distribution drives for the poor. On special occasions and festivals, devotees participate in 21 recitations of Hanuman Chalisa, kirtans, and “Baba ka Bhandara,” where all attendees receive prasad with devotion.
Speaking about the upcoming inauguration, Dr. Praveen Garg, founder of the temple, said, “On this occasion, we are not only celebrating a religious event but also spreading the message of selfless service.” He added that the event is open to all devotees.
The temple celebrates major festivals such as Hanuman Jayanti, Guru Purnima, Navratri, Raksha Bandhan, Ganesh Sthapana and Visarjan, Kali Chaudas Havan, and Dussehra, along with devotional bhajans and special prasad distribution. So far, 73 Sunderkand recitations have been successfully conducted. Special care is taken to include the elderly, disabled, and visually impaired devotees in group recitations, along with dedicated meal and honor services for senior citizens.
Regular weekly and monthly programs include Akhand Hanuman Chalisa, Ram Charit Manas recitations, a monthly havan on the first Tuesday, and Sunday Sunderkand, kirtan, and aarti, all open to the public. Free medical check-ups and medicine distribution are also organized every Wednesday and Sunday, along with accommodation for sadhus and cold water facilities for travelers.
The temple’s growing reputation is supported by the selfless service of devotees such as Kiribhai Patel, whose dedication inspires many, along with regular contributors Kirti Bhai Patel, Bharat Bhai Joshi, Rahul Barot, Nirav Bhai Patel, Bharat Bhai Desai, and Rishabh Bhai Shah.
With devotion, service, and community welfare at its core, Shri Sankatmochan Mahavir Mandir continues to stand as a beacon of faith and compassion in Ahmedabad.
