The Mayflower-A.M.A. Ladies Club Conclave 2026 was held in Ahmedabad under the theme “New Era of Women: Together We Rise, Together We Shine,” bringing together medical professionals, thought leaders and community members for a day of knowledge-sharing, empowerment and cultural engagement.
Organized under the leadership of Dr. Sushila Kella, President of the AMA Ladies Club, the conclave featured scientific sessions, motivational talks, financial literacy workshops and wellness programmes aimed at promoting holistic development among women.

A major highlight of the event was the announcement of a ₹12 lakh donation to the Ahmedabad Medical Association and AMA Ladies Club by renowned cardiologist and philanthropist Dr. Nitin Sumant Shah. The contribution is expected to support women-centric community initiatives and welfare activities undertaken by the association.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Nitin Sumant Shah said, “Women’s empowerment is fundamental to building a progressive society. Through this contribution, I hope to support initiatives that create meaningful opportunities and lasting impact for women in our community.”
The conclave was inaugurated by noted gynecologist Dr. Sanjay Patel along with Dr. Shah. The dignitaries lit the ceremonial lamp and emphasized the growing importance of women’s health and leadership in modern society.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sushila Kella said, “The theme ‘New Era of Women’ reflects the remarkable transformation taking place in every sphere of life. Our objective was to create a platform that combines healthcare, knowledge, financial awareness and personal growth, enabling women to rise and shine together.”
The academic sessions covered a wide range of topics. Motivational speaker Ruzan Khambhata delivered an inspiring talk titled “New Era – New Aim: Women Changing the Game,” encouraging women to break barriers and pursue leadership roles.

On the healthcare front, Dr. Chintan Shah from HOC Vedanta conducted an awareness session on ovarian cancer, highlighting the importance of early diagnosis and timely treatment. The Mayflower Hospital scientific session featured expert presentations by Dr. Smeet, Dr. Shaiju, Dr. Ripal Patel and Dr. Ravina Patel, who shared insights on endometriosis, advanced genetics in IVF, egg freezing and the management of genitourinary syndrome after menopause.
The conclave also focused on wellness and financial independence. Dr. Munjal Pandya spoke on achieving balance between physical health, mental well-being and spiritual growth, while dermatologist Dr. Bansari Mahadevia addressed myths and realities surrounding celebrity skincare treatments.
Certified Wealth Manager Rushi Khatri introduced participants to “The Turtle Strategy for Wealth Creation,” emphasizing disciplined long-term financial planning as a pathway to economic independence.

Adding a cultural dimension to the event, a Gujarati skit directed by Dr. Dhiren Mehta entertained and educated the audience. The programme concluded with a lucky draw sponsored by Zaira Diamond and a networking session over high tea.
The organizers attributed the success of the conclave to the collective efforts of the AMA Ladies Club executive committee, supported by Ansuya Ladola, Secretary of AMA Ladies Club, Dr. Jignesh Shah, President of AMA, and Dr. Maulik Seth, Secretary of AMA.
Thanking participants and speakers, the organizers noted that the conclave successfully combined medical excellence, personal development and community service, reinforcing the spirit of women’s empowerment in a rapidly evolving world.
