NID-Crafted Pavilion Highlights India’s Global Innovation Leaderships

National Institute of Design once again demonstrated its global design calibre by conceptualising and leading the pavilion design for Bharat Innovates 2026, a prestigious international innovation showcase organised by the Government of India under the Ministry of Education.
Held in Nice from June 14 to 16, 2026, the event was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron, underscoring the significance of Indo–French collaboration in innovation and entrepreneurship. Union Minister Piyush Goyal further highlighted India’s rapidly expanding innovation ecosystem during the opening ceremony.
The exhibition pavilion showcasing India’s startup and technology innovations was designed under the leadership of NID faculty members Pravinsinh Solanki and Jagadish Kumar. Their vision transformed a 17,000 sq. m exhibition space into an immersive experience that reflected India’s creativity, technological progress and entrepreneurial spirit.
The pavilion featured a Technology Tunnel, innovation booths, investor interaction zones, pitching rooms and a grand stage, creating a world-class platform for engagement between innovators, institutions and global investors. The event brought together 120 Indian innovators, 3 French innovators, more than 10 leading institutions and over 500 international investors.
Widely praised for its scale, aesthetics and seamless execution, Bharat Innovates 2026 emerged as a powerful showcase of India’s innovation leadership on the global stage. The success of the pavilion also highlighted NID’s exceptional capability in designing large-scale international experiences that combine culture, technology and strategic communication.
By crafting the visual and experiential identity of Bharat Innovates 2026, NID reinforced its reputation as one of India’s premier design institutions, capable of delivering globally competitive design solutions for high-profile international events.
