Cadila Clarifies No Ban on Aciloc 150+ and 300+, Supplies Continue

Cadila Pharmaceuticals has clarified that there is no order prohibiting the manufacture, sale or distribution of its Aciloc 150+ and Aciloc 300+ products, and supplies continue uninterrupted. The company stated that the active ingredient, Famotidine, is clearly mentioned on all product labels in compliance with regulatory requirements. Reiterating that patient safety remains its highest priority, Cadila Pharmaceuticals said it is fully cooperating with the relevant authorities while continuing to ensure the quality, safety and availability of its medicines.

Cadila Pharmaceuticals also stated that Aciloc 150+ and Aciloc 300+ contain Famotidine, a well-established H2 receptor antagonist used to reduce stomach acid production. The medicine is indicated for the relief and treatment of acid-related conditions such as acidity, heartburn and gastric ulcers. The company said Famotidine has a favourable safety profile, rapid onset of action and that the active ingredient is clearly identified on every pack in accordance with applicable labelling requirements.
