SPB English Medium College of Commerce Hosts Inter-Class Mehendi Competition

The Cultural Committee of SPB English Medium College of Commerce, managed by the Sarvajanik Education Society, successfully organised an Inter-Class Mehendi Competition on July 17, 2026, at the college library. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 27 students, who showcased their creativity and artistic talent through intricate mehendi designs.

The competition featured three engaging themes—Bridal Mehendi, Indian Festival, and Traditional Mehendi. Participants created elegant and innovative designs that reflected precision, balance, creativity, and the rich heritage of Indian art and culture. The vibrant atmosphere of the event highlighted the students’ enthusiasm and artistic expression.
The competition was judged by Dr. Mitali Patel and Dr. Deepika Rawaliya, who evaluated the entries on the basis of creativity, theme presentation, design neatness, artistic expression, and overall presentation.
In the final results, Patel Hira, a Third-Year B.Com student, secured the first prize. Henisha Choksi, also from Third-Year B.Com, won the second prize. The third prize was jointly awarded to Riddhi Jethwa, Prachi Patel, and Riya Bharuchi, all from Third-Year B.Com.
The event was organised under the guidance of Dr. Savita Sondhi, Chairperson of the Cultural Committee. Committee members Dr. Dhruv Gangadwala and Prof. Radhika Chavda coordinated and managed the programme efficiently. The competition was conducted under the guidance of Principal Dr. Ashish Pandya.
The organisers congratulated the winners and appreciated the enthusiastic participation and creative efforts of all the contestants. They noted that such competitions provide an excellent platform for students to nurture their artistic abilities, encourage creativity, and strengthen their appreciation of India’s rich cultural and traditional art forms.
