Chiripal Group Launches 50,000-Sapling Green Drive Across Ahmedabad
Fifth edition of Chiripal Mirchi Green Yodha begins with 2,000 saplings distributed at Sabarmati Riverfront and Law Garden, targeting 2.5 lakh trees planted since 2022

Ahmedabad-headquartered textile-led diversified conglomerate, Chiripal Group, has launched a citywide sapling distribution drive under the fifth edition of its annual Chiripal Mirchi Green Yodha campaign as part of its mission to distribute 50,000 saplings across Ahmedabad. As the first phase of the initiative, the Group has already distributed 2,000 saplings over two days at Sabarmati Riverfront and Law Garden, encouraging citizens to actively participate in expanding the city’s green cover.
So far, Chiripal Group has distributed 1,000 saplings at Sabarmati Riverfront on July 20 and another 1,000 saplings at Law Garden on July 21. The distribution drive will continue across Ahmedabad through the week, with a total of 7,000 saplings being distributed across seven identified locations, reaching nearly 1,000 citizens at each location.
The sapling distribution drive forms part of the fifth edition of Chiripal Mirchi Green Yodha, under which Chiripal Group has set a target of distributing and facilitating the plantation of 50,000 saplings across Ahmedabad through this month-long initiative. The campaign is encouraging employees, volunteers, educational institutions and residents to participate in plantation activities and contribute towards enhancing the city’s green cover.
Following the distributions at Riverfront and Law Garden, the drive will continue at Parimal Garden on July 22, Oxygen Park on Sindhu Bhavan Road on July 23, Shanti Asiatic School in Shela on July 24, AUDA Garden in Prahlad Nagar on July 25 and Prahlad Nagar on July 26.
Launched in 2022, Chiripal Mirchi Green Yodha has facilitated the plantation of 2 lakh trees over its first four editions. With 50,000 additional saplings targeted for distribution and plantation during the fifth edition, the cumulative number of trees planted under the campaign is expected to reach 2.5 lakh.
