1. 287 Indians still missing after Nepal floods; 88 rescued today
The Ministry of External Affairs said 287 Indian nationals and 128 people of Indian origin holding other nationalities remain missing after the devastating Nepal floods. Another 88 Indians were rescued on Saturday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi departed New Delhi for a two-nation visit to Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic, where he will attend the SCO Summit and discuss regional security, connectivity and cooperation.

9. Two arrested, two minors detained in Arunachal gang-rape case
Police arrested two people and detained two minors in connection with a gang-rape case in Arunachal Pradesh. Investigators said the suspects had fled and later returned to the state.

10. IISER Round 6 seat allotment results announced
The IISER 2026 Round 6 seat-allotment result has been released. Candidates allotted seats have until August 30 to complete the seat-acceptance process and pay the required fee
