Air India brings Maharashtrian flavours to lounges for Ganesh Chaturthi

Air India is celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi with a special Maharashtrian food festival at its lounges in Mumbai and Delhi, offering guests a selection of traditional regional dishes and festive sweets.

At the Air India (Adani) Lounge in Mumbai, the special menu, available from September 14, features popular Maharashtrian dishes such as Tomato Saar, Khamang Kakdi, Veg Kolhapuri, Bharli Vangi, Masale Bhat, Malvani Fish Curry and Kolhapuri Chicken Biryani. The buffet also includes snacks and street-food favourites including Misal Pav, Sabudana Vada, Kothimbir Wadi and Rawa Fish Fry.

Adding to the festive celebrations, Air India will offer a special 11-day mithai experience featuring Ukadiche Modak, Puran Poli, Karanji, Mango Kalakand and Dry Fruit Wheat Halwa. Guests can also sample artisanal modaks in contemporary flavours such as Gulkand, Kesar, Orange Chocolate Butterscotch, Sugar-Free Dates & Dry Fruit and Berry Cheesecake.

The celebrations will also extend to the Delhi International Maharaja Lounge. Air India said the initiative is aimed at offering guests an immersive experience of Maharashtra’s culinary traditions while celebrating India’s cultural diversity and heritage.
