CEPT University Felicitates CEPT Excellence Awards Spring 2026 Winners

CEPT University felicitated the winners of the CEPT Excellence Awards Spring 2026, recognising outstanding student work across its undergraduate programmes in Architecture, Urban Design, Civil Engineering and Design.
The awards aim to promote excellence in teaching and learning and celebrate exceptional student projects. A distinguished jury comprising Steven Smith, Suranjana Satwalekar, Apurva Parikh, Biju Kuriakose and Niki Shah evaluated the projects and selected the winners.
A total of 12 student projects and four studio projects were recognised for their work during the Spring 2026 semester. The winning projects will be exhibited at the Lilavati Lalbhai Library on the CEPT campus from September 26 to October 11, 2026.
Three students were also selected for the CEPT Gujral Excellence Awards, each receiving a cash prize of ₹1 lakh. The winners are Mukta Shireesh Anjal and Shefali Patnaik from the Faculty of Design, and Gajjar Kirtan Prashant from the Faculty of Technology.
Prof. Barjor Mehta, President, CEPT University; Prof. Tridip Suhrud, Provost, CEPT University; and Feroze Gujral, Founder and Director, The Gujral Foundation, felicitated the winners and presented the cash prizes.
The three award-winning projects are “Dhun – The Rhythm of Everyday Things” by Mukta Shireesh Anjal, a hand-drawn short film about a grandmother’s quiet rebellion for freedom; “O-Rest” by Shefali Patnaik, a folded-mesh chair back combining delicate form with structural rigidity; and “SAFEGUARD: Eyes That Never Blink” by Gajjar Kirtan Prashant, an AI-powered site-surveillance prototype aimed at addressing construction-site safety.
