Distinguished Chartered Accountant and policy practitioner CA Naresh Kella launched his new book, India: A Nation Rising: Building Today. Empowering Tomorrow., at the Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA), bringing together industry leaders, policy practitioners and financial experts for discussions on India’s economic transformation and future growth.
The book draws on Kella’s more than three decades of experience across governance, finance, trade and economic policy. Rather than presenting India’s development solely through an analytical or external perspective, the publication is positioned as a practitioner’s account of the country’s economic journey, combining observations from Kella’s professional experience with his views on India’s future direction.
From policy experience to a book on India’s growth
Kella’s professional journey has included several positions connected with finance, governance, industry and trade. According to the book-launch material, his experience includes an early appointment as a Member of the National Economic Advisory Committee of ICAI and service as a Director of Rajkot Nagarik Sahakari Bank in 2014.
He has also held leadership positions in the Zalawad Federation of Trade & Industries, where he served as Secretary, President and Vice Chairman, with a focus on issues concerning MSMEs and the wider business ecosystem. His professional experience has further included serving as an Independent Director at Power Finance Corporation Limited, a member of the Gujarat State Fee Regulation Committee, and Chair of the All India Sugar Trade Taxation Committee.

Following its launch in India, India: A Nation Rising is scheduled to receive an international showcase at Frankfurter Buchmesse 2026, one of the major international book-industry events.
The book will be showcased at Stand 4.2 D31 at Messe Frankfurt from October 7 to 11, 2026, with the exhibition timings listed as 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM CEST. The publication is also stated to be available through major retail outlets and online bookstores worldwide.
The Frankfurt appearance gives the book an opportunity to reach readers and publishing professionals beyond India, while also placing its discussion of India’s economic transformation in an international setting.
A practitioner’s perspective on India’s future
At its core, India: A Nation Rising seeks to combine Kella’s professional experience with a broader examination of India’s economic development. The book’s approach is rooted in the author’s exposure to financial institutions, industry bodies, policy-related committees, MSMEs and governance.
