A large protest led by the viral Abhijeet Dipke-led Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) took place at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar today, drawing hundreds of students and young supporters demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged examination and recruitment irregularities.

The movement, which began as a satirical online campaign, has rapidly grown into a significant youth-led platform, reportedly attracting more than 22 million Instagram followers. Protesters raised concerns about exam paper leaks, unemployment, and broader issues affecting young Indians.

Security was tightened across New Delhi, particularly around Jantar Mantar and the airport, as Dipke arrived from the United States to lead the demonstration. Delhi Police granted permission for the protest from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Jantar Mantar.

The group emphasized a peaceful protest, asking participants to carry the national flag, stay hydrated, and avoid confrontation. Environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk also expressed support for the movement and was expected to join the demonstration.

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a youth-driven movement led by Abhijeet Dipke, held a major protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Saturday, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged examination and recruitment irregularities. Hundreds of students and supporters participated in the demonstration under heavy security. The movement, which gained popularity through social media, has emerged as a prominent platform for youth concerns related to education, unemployment, and governance.

At Jantar Mantar, members of the CJP-led protest raised slogans against the Education Minister, demanding his resignation over alleged discrimination and untouchability faced by students. The demonstration witnessed strong support from elders and senior citizens, who joined the gathering in solidarity with the students’ cause. Hundreds of protesters continued to arrive at the venue throughout the day, swelling the crowd. Organisers repeatedly appealed to participants to maintain peace and ensure that the protest remained non-violent. Many demonstrators were seen carrying flowers and copies of the Constitution, symbolising their commitment to peaceful democratic expression and constitutional values.
